Tim was driven by a painful, personal tragedy: the loss of his valued employee Jeannie in a drunk-driving collision on her way home to be with her parents at Christmas. The heartbreak and sorrow felt by Tim, his partners, and the entire team after Jeannie’s untimely death left an indelible impression, a reminder of how a single impaired moment can alter lives forever. Tim believed that if the man who struck Jeannie had access to an accurate test to confirm his impairment, he might have chosen not to drive, and Jeannie would still be with us today.

For more than thirty years, he replayed that moment in his mind, fueling a steadfast determination to create a product that could help ordinary people make the right choice to drive sober.
